OUR MISSION
The mission of Middle School Rocks, LLC is to provide consulting services strictly for middle schools. We recognize the complexity of adolescents and acknowledge the various facets of learning by students, teachers, staff, and parents to educate this age group. We realize that adolescents must be educated holistically--academically, socially, emotionally, and physically--to meet their needs and provide them the opportunity to be successful. This process requires all stakeholders to understand their roles and know their responsibilities to ensure students reach their greatest potential. MSR provides the professional development services for all stakeholders so they can collaboratively work toward overall student success.
MEET the Chief Executive Director.....
Dr. Cook founded the company with the intent of providing necessary services to enable middle schools to be successful. Having more than 20 years of educational experience and expertise, Dr.Cook has served in the following roles: teacher, department chairperson, grade level team leader, principal designee, assistant principal, principal fellow, principal, Director of Education, and Director of Middle School Achievement. The majority of her years were spent working effortlessly in middle schools. Her passion for middle school education is evident in her publications. She published a book in 2012 entitled, Ummm, Yes it's Middle School, which serves as a guide for new middle school teachers. Her second publication (2017) was her dissertation for her doctorate degree which was entitled, The Impact of a Middle School Transition Program on Academic Performance and Social Acceptance of Sixth Graders.
